Skull - Jet

One of the most ancient symbols known to man has been hand-carved from jet. It is said that the skull represents life and humanity. Jet, also called black amber, is a product of high-pressure decomposition of wood from millions of years ago. This mineraloid is found in two forms, hard and soft. Hard jet is the result of carbon compression and salt water; soft jet is compressed with fresh water. When held, it is surprisingly light for its size.

It is used for calming and to dispel fearful thoughts and to protect against illness and violence. It aligns with the base chakra and enables the movement of the kundalini.
