Skull - Black Obsidian (~75mm)

One of the most ancient symbols known to man has been hand-carved from black obsidian. It is said that the skull represents life and humanity. Crystal skulls are a popular item in meditation and many people seek them for their natural healing abilities. They symbolize life and rebirth, but can also amplify thoughts and intentions.

This black natural glass has been formed from the rapid cooling of lava. Because it is easily splintered into sharp fragments, obsidian has long been used in making knives, arrowheads and sculptures.

In healing circles, it is known as a stone of protection with grounding properties, it is often used to clear subconscious blocks and to absorb and disperse negativity.
