Resin Incense - Dragon's Blood

Dragons blood resin incense has a sensual, earthy warmth. It smells sweet and soft, slightly amber-like but more natural and less sticky/sweet smelling than common amber. An ancient incense used for love, protection and to exorcise negative energies. The name dragons blood is due to the bright red colour of the resin. The resin isn't usually extracted from just one tree but a specific tree species. These come from the plant groups Pterocarpus, Daemonorops, and Dracaena.

In times past, dragons blood was used for digestive problems and wound healing. It is widely used in ceremonies and spiritual practices for protection and strength. In some cultures it is used for reduction of bacteria and to repel insects.

Directions: Sprinkle resin over lit charcoal in a heat proof bowl, urn or plate filled with sand. Do not leave unattended and make sure the area is well ventilated.

1. Use a heat proof dish
2. Fill bottom with sand
3. Place a lit charcoal tablet on top of sand
4. Sprinkle 1/4 tsp of resin chunks on tablet
5. Resin will burn for 5 - 10 min
