Mini Stone Animal - Squirrel

The likeness of a squirrel has been hand carved from onyx marble by Peruvian artisans. Stone animals fit easily into gift baskets, shadow boxes and are attractive when put in plants, in the window or a Zen garden.

Onyx is a banded variety of chalcedony. The colours of its bands range from white to almost every colour (save some shades, such as purple or blue). Commonly, specimens of onyx contain bands of black and/or white. Onyx is thought to increase regeneration, happiness, intuition and instincts.

Squirrels suggest a sense of playfulness, fun, curiosity and resourcefulness. They inspire a balance between work and play.
