Mini Stone Animal - Frog

The likeness of a frog has been hand carved from onyx marble by Peruvian artisans. Stone animals fit easily into gift baskets, shadow boxes and are attractive when put in plants, in the window or a Zen garden.

Onyx is a banded variety of chalcedony. The colours of its bands range from white to almost every colour (save some shades, such as purple or blue). Commonly, specimens of onyx contain bands of black and/or white. Onyx is thought to increase regeneration, happiness, intuition and instincts.

The symbolic meaning of the frog includes renewal, healing and metamorphosis. The Frog is an emblem of Yin energy and thought of as good luck. Feng Shui practices recommend putting an image of a Frog in the east window of your home to encourage child birth and/or happy family life.
