Malachite and azurite are basic carbonates of copper. Malachite is azurite without the attached water molecule. Malachite is a brilliant green and azurite is known for its deep blue colour.

It is a stone of transformation and healing, assisting ones spiritual journey. It is capable of stimulating intuition and insight while helping in to clear past unwanted influences. It was once worn as a stone of protection.
